Add oil to a skillet over medium heat on the stove. Once hot, add pork loin, searing on all sides until browned. Add remaining oil to a large dutch oven over medium heat.
Once hot, saute onion and garlic for 3-5 minutes until fragrant.
Pour in canned whole peeled tomatoes and stir to combine.
Add the red wine.
Season with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes and fresh basil. Stir to combine.
Add cooked pork to the sauce and combine well.
Let the sauce simmer for at least 1 hour. Serve and enjoy!
