Seasoning for Pork Chops FAQs
Pork chops are naturally mild in flavor, so for the best results, you should always season them well before cooking them. Pat down all sides with an even coating of a dry rub to add tons of flavor!
Pork chop rub is a blend of spices meant to be added to pork before cooking, infusing the meat with flavor. There are dry and wet pork chop seasonings, but dry rubs are the cleanest to work with and are shelf stable, so make extra!
Pork pairs extremely well with a blend of sweet and savory flavors, so it's a classic to add brown sugar and paprika! Garlic powder, onion powder and crushed red pepper add robustness, and never forget a good quality salt. It's essential!
Pork chops are easy to overcook, and nobody likes tough pork chops. The secret is keeping a close eye on the internal temperature of the meat! Cook pork chops to an internal temperature of 145°F and be let to rest off the heat for five minutes. This will ensure juicy, tender meat every time! Check out my Pork Temperature Chart for more details!
