Breaded Pork Chops in Oven
There's nothing quite as reliable as a pork chop to make dinner easy, hearty, and delicious! Pork chops have been a standard in my kitchen since I was a child. The affordable price meant we could always afford a dinner that kept us full, and there's always some new way to serve them!
Time after time again, however, I keep coming back to the most reliable of all: breaded oven pork chops! They're all the best things about pork. Crispy, juicy, tender baked breaded pork chops, and they're so, so easy. Plus, thanks to the high temperature cooking, this recipe works for everything from thick, thin, boneless or bone-in chops!
I promise you're going to love them just as much as I do! Try this easy breaded pork chops recipe with pork gravy and mashed potatoes for a classic meal, or slice them up in a salad or layer them up on a sandwich with katsu sauce; there's no going wrong!

- Dip each pork chop into the eggs until coated on all sides.
- Dip the egg-coated pork chops into the breadcrumbs, pressing more coating on with your hands until all sides are completely covered.

- Remove from the oven and let rest for 5-10 minutes, then serve!
Baked Breaded Pork Chops Tips
- Pork chops are naturally tender, so they don't benefit from low and slow cooking. Make sure to cook them at a high temp to caramelize the pork chops and lock in those juices!
- Keep a careful eye on the temperature of the pork chops, and check them regularly with a meat thermometer once they get close to 145°F. Pull them out as soon as they reach it so they don't overcook and get tough.
- I'm a big fan of simple Italian breadcrumbs for these oven roasted pork chops, but there are so many great ways to season pork chops! Feel free to make your own, or try my herb-crusted pork seasoning or a classic sweet and spicy pork rub!
You can also use this recipe for thick pork chops in the oven, plus baked boneless pork chops! All you need to do is adjust the cooking time: add 2-3 minutes for thick pork chops, and reduce the time similarly for boneless. Breaded Pork Chops in Oven FAQs
The cooking time for pork chops in the oven depends on the thickness of the chops, and if they are bone-in or boneless. For bone-in, I cook my pork chops for approximately 20 minutes. For boneless, I cook them for 17 minutes. The time is less important than the temperature, which should reach 145°F!
I bake my pork chops uncovered and at high temperatures. Covering the pork chops can keep them from getting dry if cooked for too long, but this recipe uses high heat to ensure the meat cooks without drying out. Keeping them uncovered will keep the coating crispy!
When cooking pork chops in the oven, use high heat to keep the meat juicy! I like to bake pork chops at 450°F for 20 minutes, watching the temperature of the meat closely. Reaching 145°F quickly will ensure the meat doesn't get dry!
